Objective Realities
Immersive VR stories from the perspective of mundane objects.
What does a smart home look like from inside it — from the object's point of view?
Objective Realities is an immersive VR experience where visitors inhabit a fictional future home not as its residents but as its objects — a cleaning robot, a fan, an electrical plug. From each perspective, they hear the invisible chatter between networked things: their frustrations, routines, and quiet politics.
Built with Unity and Google Cardboard VR, the experience supports multiple simultaneous players who switch between object perspectives. The script was developed with Bruce Sterling, with voices by Jasmina Tesanovic and Regine Debatty. Collaboration with Matthieu Cherubini, Lorenzo Romagnoli, and Saurabh Datta.
Exhibited at FILE Festival and Vienna Biennale. Developed with automato.farm.
